Liberate Physician Centers, Florida’s first medical marijuana business, announced today that it has expanded to Jacksonville and is now offering services required for patients to have legal access to medical marijuana under Amendment 2 passed by Florida voters in November.
The company also announced the appointment of Melissa Blake as Managing Director of the Jacksonville location, and Heidi Peters as Director of Communications. Blake joined the company in January and brings over twenty years of experience growing and leading strong operational teams with a focus on providing excellent customer service and client relations. Blake developed a passion for the medical marijuana field after seeing its effects on children with severe seizure disorders.
Peters also joined the company in January and has spent the last 10 years of her life dedicated to fitness and wellness as a certified athletic trainer. Peters is passionate about using natural products to improve overall health and wellness.
Liberate Physician Centers opened its first Florida location in West Palm Beach in October 2015. The company also operates facilities in Michigan, and its founder, Daniel J. Reid, co-founded the first medical marijuana business in Illinois in 2013. Reid first became involved in medical marijuana after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
