Oregrown Celebrates First Recreational Cannabis Harvest With Massive 4/20 Event

Oregrown Industries, Oregon’s premier farm-to-table cannabis company, will celebrate the first harvest from their Tumalo recreational cannabis farm with an all-day party Thursday, April 20th at their flagship store in downtown Bend, Oregon.

“This marks the first time Oregrown’s core flavors will be available in Oregon’s new recreational cannabis market, and we are head-over-heels in love with these flowers,” said Oregrown co-founder Aviv Hadar.

A selection of the Oregrown harvest will be available exclusively in select stores across Oregon, including the Oregrown flagship store in Bend, TJ’s Dispensaries and Eugene OG in Eugene, Alternative Remedies in Portland, and Hotbox Farms in Huntington.

Oregrown co-founder and head cultivator Justin Crawn has been collecting the company’s cannabis genetics lineup for years.

“We can never keep up with demand for our flower,” Crawn said. “It’s an incredible feeling to see our passion shine through in these beautiful plants.”

Oregrown’s 4/20 event will be bigger and better than ever this year, Hadar said.

“4/20 events are gaining importance globally, and especially in states like Oregon as we move further away from the failed policies of prohibition,” Hadar said. “It’s a time to reflect on how far we have come, and to celebrate the bounty of the legal, regulated market we now enjoy.”

Thursday’s 21-and-over event kicks off in the morning at the Oregrown store at 1199 NW Wall Street with music, games, prizes and special discounts all day, along with special appearances from Oregrown athletes. Vendor exhibits and booths from Lunchbox Alchemy, Deschutes Growery, O.PenVape and SunGod Medicinals will be on display alongside Oregrown’s own event booths and famed Prize Wheel. Dump City Dumplings — a favorite local food cart — will be on site serving up goodies. Mocktails and other catered food will be available as well.

In the evening, the party moves up the street to Crow’s Feet Commons at 875 NW Brooks where Oregrown will present a free, all-ages performance by local funk heroes Elektrapod at 7p.m. PFriem Family Brewers will be on site with four taps of beer, along with Dump City Dumplings and more delicious food.

“Bring your dancing shoes!” Hadar said.

Hadar and Crawn said the party is Oregrown’s way of saying “Thank you.”

“We are so grateful for the continued love and support from our community in Bend and beyond,” Hadar said. “Growing world-class cannabis right here in Bend, and sharing it with our friends and neighbors is our American Dream come true.”
