Florida Budtender Training Hosted by HempStaff Returns to Cities Across the State

HempStaff, a Florida-based medical marijuana recruiting and training agency will be hosting Medical Marijuana Dispensary Training courses across the state of Florida starting this weekend! Each location and date will have two sessions to choose from: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.The first class will be July 29th in West Palm Beach at the Embassy Suites on Belvedere Rd, followed by July 30th in Miami and the Hilton Garden Inn at Dolphin Mall.  HempStaff returns again at the end of the August with a class on Aug 26th in Tampa at the Embassy Suites at the Tampa Airport, followed by classes on Aug 27th in Orlando at Embassy Suites on International Drive.

The cost is $249 with prior online registration or $300 cash at the door if seats are still available. HempStaff started their training back in 2014 with class in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. Since that time HempStaff has trained over 2,500 Budtenders nationwide across the country in IllinoisNevadaArizona, New England, MarylandPennsylvania and Ohio.

Recently SB 8 was passed in the legislature and signed by Gov. Rick Scott.  This established the regulatory laws for Amendment 2, which passes with 71% last November.  The current 7 cultivators under the Compassionate Act can immediately start supplying their dispensaries with products for patients with recommendations under the Amendment 2 conditions. The state will also issue an additional 10 licenses by October 2017.  Each of these 17 licensed cultivators can have up to 25 dispensaries state-wide. This allows for up to 425 dispensaries in the state Florida, in addition more licenses and dispensaries will be added once the patient count exceeds 100,000 patients.

The course offers participants training about cannabis and cannabis products along with all the information to keep up-to-date with the Florida medical marijuana laws. HempStaff offers a resume review to help best prepare students who are seeking employment after this course as well. The end of the course offers a certification exam, that the student must score at least 75 percent to earn their HempStaff Dispensary Agent Certification. HempStaff is also a recruiting agency so when employers seek to fill entry level dispensary agents or cultivation site workers, students are contacted first.

Those who have already taken the HempStaff course have provided exceptional feedback about the training. “The speakers not only informed me but also instilled confidence in me. Before I walked in there I was like, who am I kidding, ill never work for passion instead of money,” notes one recent participant. “Before I was done my mind set completely changed. I will re-read the course book, plan on buying another book on the topic, and create a stellar resume!”

Rosie, President of HempStaff, was recently asked about the upcoming classes in Florida. “We are very excited to bring our Dispensary Training Course back to our home state of Florida.  After a two year wait it seems Florida is finally ready to establish a legitimate Medical Marijuana program that will create jobs state wide, with up to 425 Dispensaries and 4-5 employees per dispensary, that will create around 2,000 Florida medical marijuana jobs just on the dispensing side alone!”
